What we collect
- Sellers: name, phone, email, business details, and your Ghana Card number and photo or business registration.
- Store customers: the number you’re buying for, your phone number, your email if you give it, and any help request you send.
- Everyone: orders, payment references, messages sent to our WhatsApp number, and technical details such as your network address.
Why we use it
To deliver what you buy, take payments and return money, check who sellers are, prevent fraud, meet our legal duties and keep accurate accounts. We don’t sell your data or use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
Only those who help us run the service: our payment company, our airtime and data suppliers, Meta for WhatsApp messages, our email and hosting providers, and the seller you bought from. We also share data when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- WhatsApp conversations in progress: 7 days.
- ID documents from applications we turn down, or from sellers who leave before being approved: 90 days.
- Seller records, ID documents and customer contact details: 5 years after the account closes or the order was made, then they’re deleted, because the law requires us to keep financial records.
Your rights
You can ask to see your data, correct it or have it deleted. Sellers can close their account under Account. Store customers can ask from the page for each order, and we remove their contact details from that order. If they confirm their phone number with a code sent to it, we remove them from all their orders. We keep what the law requires even after a deletion request, such as amounts and references. You can also complain to Ghana’s Data Protection Commission.
Security
ID documents are encrypted when stored, passwords are never stored in readable form, and backups are encrypted.
